The nights are drawing in, growing darker. Growing colder. Who knows what strange and terrifying things might be out there, in the dark? So it’s a good time to think about cosying up indoors, by a fire, with a good (spooky) book or two! Or three. Have you heard of Spooktastic Reads? Let me tell you about it.

Hey, hi, hello and welcome! Autumn is here, and you know what that means. Pumpkins, cosy cardigans, and Spooktastic Reads!
Hello again friends! I have taken a holiday, and I’m feeling refreshed – just in time to start gearing up for our spooky fantasy-themed Halloween event! Grab your torches and TBRs, and let’s go…
I don’t care what the weather thinks, the seasons are turning. It’s September, and that means October isn’t far away. And we all know what October means. October means Halloween, and Halloween means Spooktastic Reads!
The nerd beacons are lit! Wyrd & Wonder calls for aid! And your TBR will (hopefully) answer. I admit it feels a little odd to be announcing this in the middle of a summer heatwave, but screw it – the team at Wyrd & Wonder are nothing if not excitable, and we’re already making plans. So it seems only fair to give you lot a chance to do the same. Announcing Spooktastic Reads 2019!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is a freebie! There are few places in the world more fitting as a setting for a ghost story than Edinburgh (yes, I’m biased, what of it?), and in City of Ghosts it’s clear to see that Ms Schwab not only agrees, but revels in the darker side of the city’s history. This book is a love letter to that history, and it’s appropriately chilling in itself. Let’s take a look at my first selection for Spooktastic Reads!
Spooktastic Reads is FINALLY at hand! I can’t do evil laughter like Vincent Price could, but surely you know how it goes.
