Generally speaking, this blog will be focused on reviewing books which are currently on my shelves. There are rather a lot of these. That said, I am open to receiving book review requests from authors and/or publishers. Below is my review policy regarding the acceptance of such requests.

  • All opinions are my own. Any review published here will be an honest one.
  • Books received in exchange for a review will be clearly stated as such, should a review be published.
  • I reserve the right to decline a request. I am chronically enthusiastic about reading, but not every book is going to agree with me. Therefore, not every request can be guaranteed acceptance.

What have you got for me?

I primarily read science fiction and fantasy books, and occasionally branch into the broader speculative fiction category (horror, historical fiction, paranormal romance, etc).

In particular, I’m fond of urban fantasy, steampunk, and space opera. Romance/romantic elements are also welcome. I prefer adult SF/F to Young Adult, though I won’t flat out refuse YA. I don’t review Middle Grade or children’s books.

I am interested in diverse and positive representation. Feel free to bring me your queer SF/F! But it’s got to be positive. No grimdark, please.

Still here?

Excellent! If you’d like me to consider a book for review, please contact me using the contact form below, and provide a synopsis and/or a link to more information. I will respond to all requests as soon as possible.

If you require a review within a particular time frame/on or around a particular date, please specify this in your request.

I will accept print copies and ebooks. MOBI files are preferred. I don’t accept audiobooks.

If you have any further questions, feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to answer them!

UPDATE (10/1/2021): This site is currently closed to review requests. Other enquiries are still welcome; apologies for any inconvenience.
