Wyrd & Wonder Adventure Log: 13-19 May

(Halfway) there and back again, and it’s time for another round-up of lists, recommendations, and random adventurer loot!

Our prompt challenge map was put to some excellent use:

Heather at Based On A True Story took The Road Less Travelled;

Snapdragon Alcove took a dip in The Fountain of Youth before going monster hunting, then explored steampunk in a visit to the Clockwork Castle;

Rebecca at Powder & Page braved the darkness of Grimdark Forest;

Celeste at A Literary Escape ventured out to the Reaching Fingers;

Ellie at Curiosity Killed The Bookworm, Celeste at A Literary Escape, and Janette at Witchyreading braved the Icy Wastes of Waiting For the Next Book;

Veros at Dark Shelf of Wonders brought us a look at her favourite dragon tropes as she crossed Dragon’s Pass;

Anne at Black and White (Words and Pictures) used the map challenge to point us to some previous posts that fit the prompts;

and Caitlin at Realms of My Mind took us on another week-long journey to and from various locations!

The Sunday Fives also got a workout:

Mat, AKA Tiny Elf Arcanist went outside his comfort zone for our Sunday Fives, as did Rachael at The Green Tea Librarian, Jak at Lost in the Narrative, and Annemieke at A Dance With Books;

Zezee With Books, AKA our beloved queen of book tags, mashed a book tag up with this Sunday Five prompt too!

Rachael at The Green Tea Librarian and @wanderinglynn also introduced us to 5 characters in their comfort zone for another of our prompts, and Annemieke at A Dance With Books looked at books that depict comfort zones.

Elsewhere in our random loot, we’ve got Sia at Every Book A Doorway bringing us another ten cool magic systems;

Jorie at Jorie Loves A Story shared her Short Stack TBR;

Annemieke introduced us to 5 anthologies she owns;

Lauren at Always Me dedicated Top Ten Tuesday to fantasy series she wants to catch up on;

Tammy at Books, Bones & Buffy featured 12 Upcoming Cosy Fantasies to pad our TBRs with;

Janette at Witchyreading showcased her Top 5 Mums in Fantasy;

Athena at OneReadingNurse shared some of her favourite fantasy book quotes;

Ariana at The Book Nook put together some Eurovision 2024 looks as fantasy book covers;

and Lauren at Always Me featured Moon Knight for Music Monday, as well as bringing us another Friday 56!

That’s it for me for this week, but be sure to check in at There’s Always Room For One More as imyril will have a round-up of your reviews and Read Along posts!
