Hello from the Dear Geek… Bunker?
Well, sort of. I haven’t been hoarding toilet paper, I promise. But as usual, I continue to hoard books, and though I dearly wish the circumstances were better it looks as though I may get even more time than usual now to work my way through them.
But social distancing stops at the internet door, and so I’m here to share a bit of what I’ll hopefully be reading over the next couple of months, as spring (kind of?) starts to arrive at last!
Let’s start with books that currently on my reading slate, both ARCs and readalong choices, plus my first choice from my Great Series Read Project list!
- Sixteenth Watch by Myke Cole (ARC)
- Dawnspell (AKA The Bristling Wood, Deverry #3) by Katharine Kerr (Readalong)
- The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archive #1) by Brandon Sanderson (Great Series Read)
And now for the rest – some of the books I’m excited to read and will totally absolutely get through before summer, I’m sure!
- Beneath the Rising by Premee Mohamed
- Behind the Throne (Indranan War #1) by K.B. Wagers (this is also on my Great Series Read list!)
- Strange The Dreamer (Strange The Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor (this too!)
- Skein Island by Aliya Whiteley
- A Song For a New Day by Sarah Pinsker
- Turning Darkness Into Light by Marie Brennan
- The Unspoken Name (The Serpent Gates #1) by A.K. Larkwood
So that’s my spring TBR. What’s on yours?

AAAAAH I missed that you hadn’t read Turning Darkness Into Light yet LIIIIISSSAAAAAA it’s SOOOO GOOOOOD
I look forward to your tweeting / messaging when you get to it 🙂
oooh! new Marie Brennan!! and I really want to read the A.K. Larkwood too!
it’s comfort book time for me, I’m re-reading Kage Baker’s Company series. Finished the first book a few hours ago, only cried a little. Good thing the 2nd book is much lighter! we also bought a few more Witcher books, so that should keep me busy for a while.
Love all the SFF titles!! I hadn’t heard of Sixteenth Watch but it sounds really good!
My TTT!
I haven’t read any of these, although I do love Sanderson’s Mistborn series. I haven’t finished all the books, but the ones I have are excellent. Enjoy THE WAY OF KINGS and all your other picks.
Happy TTT!
