It’s time for the first of my Wyrd and Wonder Edition posts for Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re talking about some of my favourite fictional cities in fantasy. Being a city girl at heart, I felt like this choice from imyril’s curated list of prompts was super appropriate for me. So let’s get listing, shall we? Hello, hello! It’s the first Sunday of #WyrdAndWonder month, and that means it’s time to talk about Trail of Lightning! NOTE: Potential spoilers follow for chapters 1 through 8 of this book.
For today’s Wyrd and Wonder contribution, I’m handing the mic over to a fantasy writer and fellow blogger to get the ball rolling on some discussion of favourite tropes in fantasy! Everyone, meet Lynn…
Today is the day, folks! Wyrd and Wonder 2: The Wyrdening is finally, actually upon us! It all kicks off here, and I cannot wait to see what everyone gets up to. It’s going to be an awesome month-long party, I know it! What am I up to, you ask? Well, let’s see…

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is a freebie! There are few places in the world more fitting as a setting for a ghost story than Edinburgh (yes, I’m biased, what of it?), and in City of Ghosts it’s clear to see that Ms Schwab not only agrees, but revels in the darker side of the city’s history. This book is a love letter to that history, and it’s appropriately chilling in itself. Let’s take a look at my first selection for Spooktastic Reads!
Spooktastic Reads is FINALLY at hand! I can’t do evil laughter like Vincent Price could, but surely you know how it goes.
