Hello! And welcome (back, again) to Top Ten Tuesday. I haven’t done one of these in a little while – in fact, I haven’t done much of anything here in a little while. But I am changing that today, with a fun return to this favourite feature!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This weekly list feature uses topic prompts to inspire readers/bloggers to share the best (or worst, or most Interesting) of their bookshelves, be it the TBR section, personal favourites or books that have caught their attention.
This week’s prompt is Titles That Would Make Good Band Names, and while I only came up with five (this is like stretching after I get out of bed, let’s face it), I definitely had fun with this one!
Quietus
The death metal writes itself. Also I enjoy irony.
(The Melancholy of) Mechagirl
Mechagirl is like if Lady Gaga did robot drag.
… Has Gaga done robot drag yet?
Bonus: The Melancholy of… is a ready-made album title.
Nevernight
Symphonic metal realness; think Nightwish, only darker.
The Immortalists
They’re like The Decemberists, but older and wiser.
Look, these are my fictional bands, they can be whatever I like. Including pun-tastic.
The Deep
OK this one is probably cheating. But come on. This one really does write itself.
So there you have them, my fab five! What do you think? Would you listen to any of these bands?

I’d listen to a band called Nevernight. 🙂

Me too. 😀
Ooh, The Deep is a great choice!
My TTT .
The Immortalists is a great band name. I’d give them a listen 🙂
Happy TTT!

I am giggling so hard that our brains are once again tuned into the same signal. I couldn’t resist identifying the musical subgenre either 🙂 The Melancholy of Mechagirl is a brilliant double whammy band + album title there…
