As our third week of SciFi Month 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to gather our data and report our findings! I’ve got the entirety of this week’s Mission Log for you this time round, so let’s get right to it, shall we?

Ariana at The Book Nook shared some mini reviews of The Stardust Grail by Yume Kitasei, Deep Black by Miles Cameron, and Alien Clay by Adrian Tchaikovsky;
Dave Williams talked about Octavia E. Butler’s Earthseed duology (Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents);
I continued my journey through season 1 of Fallout with reviews of episode 4 and episode 5;
The Captain at Captain’s Quarters reviewed a trio of eARCs – Lauren Forrey’s The Launch Party, Charlotte Bond’s The Bloodless Princes, and Jan Gangsei’s Dead Below Deck – as well as bringing us a movie review of 1993 “classic”, Demolition Man and a blow-by-blow review of the entire Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold;
Heather at Based on a True Story reviewed Bang Bang Bodhisattva by Aubrey Wood;
Snapdragon Alcove took a look at The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin;
Celeste at A Literary Escape looked at A Princess of Oldir by Bryan Wilson;
and Nic at Dragon Rambles reviewed Philip Mann’s Pioneers.
Lists & Recommendations
Co-captains Annemieke, Mayri and imyril all ventured on a (Space) Odyssey for our Friday Fives this week;
Annemieke, imyril and Veros all shared some of the oldest SF books on their TBR for Top Ten Tuesday;
Snapdragon Alcove brought us a look at some indie movies with a sci-fi twist;
Veteran voyager Tammy at Books, Bones & Buffy treated us to a fresh list of 25 SF books to read in 2025;
and capping us off for the week, there’s a guest post over at A Dance With Books from Todd Medema, on adapting to climate change.
