Mission Log: Week One

We are one week into SciFi Month 2024 and docking for a brief rest stop before we continue our voyage! I’ve got your intro posts and some other fun stuff this week, so let’s see who’s on board and what’s on the agenda, shall we?

And with that, let’s look at your lists and recommendation posts!

Our “Gateway” prompt for Day 2 was explored by Rachael at The Green Tea Librarian and Jak at Lost in the Narrative, while Heather at Based on a True Story put a neat twist on our “One way ticket” prompt.

“Future Cities” were visited by imyril, Janette at Witchy Reading, Veros at Dark Shelf of Wonders, and Anouk at Time For Tales and Tea.

imyril and Janette revisited some SF they’d read between this November and last, for “Since we last met”.

There was a chorus of “Aye Aye, Captain” from imyril, Mayri, and Annemieke at A Dance With Books.

Jorie took a dive into indie/small press SF for Top Ten Tuesday, Annemieke took a look at some book covers featuring spaceships, and Emma at Words and Peace shared her 2024 SF recap.

That’s a nice way to take off on our voyage, but don’t forget to check out imyril’s blog for the rest of our first week round-up, to get your fill of reviews and meet this year’s newcomers!

We’ll be back next weekend with another round-up, so refuel, get some rest, and get back out there, voyagers! See you next time…
