May 2019 Recap: Wyrd and Wonder

It is May 31st, and I’m wondering where the heck the month went. I mean, I do that a lot anyway – but this month was particularly whirlwind-ish. But it was a lot of fun and I’m a little sad that it’s over! Let’s look back at what got done.

Top Ten Tuesday: Here Be Dragons

It’s the final Tuesday of May, and that means it’s time for my most anticipated fantasy-themed top ten of the month. Today, I am all about dragons! Maggie’s and Kai’s search for a solution to their monster problem brings them to a contact of Ma’ii’s – after it takes them to an unexpectedly welcoming refuge… Let’s discuss Trail of Lightning. (Spoilers follow for chapters 19 through 28.)

Top Ten Tuesday: Fantasy Sidekicks

They can often become a hero in their own right, and in their own ways. Today I’m shining a light on some of my all-time favourite sidekicks – and yes, I might have interpreted some a little broadly. But we make our own rules in fantasy, right? Let’s take
